Breech Lane Curry House is a home based Indian cookery school where curry lovers can learn to make authentic Indian vegetarian and non vegetarian food that is healthy, honest and homemade.
The mission of my venture is to promote traditional family recipes, some of which have been in my family for generations, using quality ingredients sourced locally. The aim is to produce authentic Indian flavours and healthy food using olive oil, fresh ginger and garlic paste, wholemeal flour, lean meat sourced from the village butcher and fresh vegetables. We prepare both non vegetarian and vegetarian dishes along with a selection of Indian wholemeal rotis (breads), rice dishes, chutneys and raitas (flavoured yogurt) that go well with these. All my classes have a session on demystifying Indian spices – as they form the backbone of all Indian curries.
